In fact, this volunteering program based in GK has successfully visited many High Schools and Colleges all over the Philippines. Aiming to influence Filipino youths to empower their minds in today’s current problems through social media, they are also encouraging students to look for new better solutions and ignite a revolution in every community to make our country move forward.
As they highlighted their motto, “Habang may Pilipino, may pag-asa.”, there were different activities and discussions regarding with some trends and social issues that influences the youths of today led by their speakers: Angel Miranda, Community Organizer and GK Bayan-Anihan (Food Sufficiency Program); Bong Carmelotes, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Head-LGU Mabini, ComVal and GK Head ComVal; Ben Rudner, GK Community Builder-Region XI; and their moderator Laurence Lee, Barangay Walang Iwanan (BWI) Coordinator-ComVal.
The forum ended leaving great determination among CVSC students to develop leadership, compassion, and innovation rooted in the spirit of bayanihan. They also announced that they are now scheduling to visit the other four branches of CVSC: New Bataan, Montevista, Maragusan, and Laak.
