Parents pin the nameplates on their sons and daughters who will undergo the Educ 11 (Practice Teaching) course.
Compostela Valley State College achieved another milestone as it held the 1st Pinning Ceremony for pre-service teachers who will undergo their Practice Teaching (Educ 11) course last January 13, 2017 at the Municipal Gym, Compostela, Compostela Valley.
Through the leadership of College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE) Dean Dr. Robert Gomez and Field Study (FS) Coordinator Kirk John Tonido, the monumental affair served as the send-off for the 286 fourth year Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) and Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) students who will be assigned to 11 Cooperating Schools across the municipality.
During her message, College President reiterated the importance of respect during the PSTs’ entire practice teaching stint as they will indulge into the real world of education. Also, the president challenged the students to embody the core values of the College throughout the fourteen-week period.
Also present during the historic affair were Dr. Roque N. Langcoy II, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Gomez, CASE Dean; school heads from partner primary and secondary schools; and parents of the participating students.
College President Dr. Christie Jean V. Ganiera challenges the pre-service teachers to embody the CVSC core values.
