Compostela Valley State College President Dr. Christie Jean V. Ganiera organized a four-hour orientation/meeting with all the fourth-year students and their parents to discuss pertinent concerns regarding the former’s impending graduation last November 28, 2017 at the Brgy. Poblacion Gymnasium.
Among the issues tackled during the meeting were remaining balances and graduation fees, the yearbook, and recollection. Students raised their concerns and reactions for each issue which is expected to lead to more meetings in the near future to help iron out any matter relating to the said affair.
Dr. Ganiera emphasized that the activity is aimed at allowing the students to air out their apprehensions and concerns while also ensuring that the process is transparent and properly consulted with the stakeholders. Furthermore, she stressed that as the first CVSC graduates, they are expected to embody the core values of the institution while also pursuing excellence in their respective fields.
The 2018 graduating class will etch its name into the history books as it will be the first ever graduates of College since its creation and operation in 2013.
