Compostela – While celebrating the milestones achieved and the journey travelled, Compostela Valley State College made sure to honor its history as it acknowledged the efforts and sacrifices of the pioneers who helped the College in its infancy during the celebration of the 4th Founding Anniversary held here last Monday, November 27, 2017.
Dr. Jesus Antonio Dereje and Dr. Jonathan Bayogan, former Officer-in-Charge Presidents of the College were at hand to receive the medallion as token of appreciation for their contribution to the fledgling and only State College in the province and both expressed their gratefulness and full trust in the direction that CVSC is taking.
Furthermore, the College also recognized the members of the non-teaching personnel who worked tirelessly during the early years of the College.
Meanwhile, during his message, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) XI Regional Director, Dir. Raul Alvarez, Jr. congratulated the College for its expedited development from a complete novice in its inception in 2013 to the budding and competitive educational institution that it is today.
Also present during the affair were some of the distinguished PLGU heads behind the creation of CVSC, including Hon. Maricar Zamora, MNSA, representative from the 1st District of ComVal (represented by Ms. Prosperidad Darling Reterba) and Vice Governor Hon. Manuel Zamora.
The one-day activity, attended by all faculty and staff from the College’s four campuses, concluded with Larong Pinoy and other recreational games where the participants were divided into two teams, Team A (composed of main and New Bataan campuses) and Team B (composed of Montevista and Maragusan campuses).
