Colorful balloons and chummy letters from grateful students flooded the Compostela Municipal Gym as Compostela Valley State College celebrated the World Teachers’ Day celebration yesterday, October 23, 2017.
Dubbed as Gabi ng Parangal, the event provided an opportunity for the students to show appreciation for their instructors’ dedication and influence.
Various performances dedicated to the teachers such as spoken word poetry, stand-up comedy, radio drama, and songs and dances filled the affair.
Meanwhile, clad in elegant nightgowns and suits, the CVSC mentors stole the spotlight as they showcased their mettle in various tilts such as Teachers’ Next Top Model and the regal cotillion dance.
However, the highlight of the affair was the giving of tokens of gratefulness by the students where balloons, flowers, gifts, and other gestures of thankfulness overflowed inside the gymnasium, eliciting tears of joy from both the givers and receivers.
The said event symbolized the appreciation of the College, led by its president, Dr. Christie Jean V. Ganiera, towards the contributions of the members of the teaching workforce towards the development of CVSC and its student populace.
