The Compostela Valley State College has launched its First Blood Letting Program in cooperation with Philippine Red Cross ComVal Chapter. The blood-letting activity was held on March 17, 2017 at the school campus clinic. Out of the 56 interested donors who came for screening, 40 passed and were able to donate blood succesfully.
The other interested donors were denied to donate blood due to low hemoglobin, high blood pressure, and did not reach the weight requirement of 50kg.
The successful blood donors left the venue with a filled stomach and with a happy heart being able to help save lives through their donated blood.
Much thanks to the Philippine Red Cross-ComVal Chapter lead by Dr. Algae Rose Hechanova, CVSC campus nurses lead by Jay-Ar G. del Socorro,RN and blood donors who made this activity a success!
