Building construction commences in external branches

Students of Compostela Valley State College (CVSC) will now benefit from better facilities as the college jumpstarted the construction of buildings in the three external branches (Montevista, New Bataan, and Maragusan) in separate dates last week.

Attended by CVSC president Dr. Christie Jean V. Ganiera, Dr. Robert M. Gomez (Branch Director of CVSC Maragusan), Ms. Grace O. Tulang (Administrative Director of CVSC Maragusan Branch), Weneberth L. Terez (CSC Federation President), Ms. Darling Reterba (Chief of Staff of the Congressional Office – 1st District), Engr. Edwin Jacob (DPWH Representative), and Maragusan SB Members headed by Councilor Ulyses Varona, Maragusan branch conducted the groundbreaking ceremony of  Two-Storey, Ten-Classroom Building last February 2, 2017. Moreover, Rev. Fr. Ritchie Badiang (Maragusan San Vicente Ferrer Assistant Parish Priest officiated the blessing of the existing classrooms and the groundbreaking ceremony.

Meanwhile, later that day, New Bataan also completed the groundbreaking of their own Two-Storey, Ten-Classroom Building with Rev. Fr. Edgar Tuling officiating the blessing of the existing edifice. Bigwigs present during the event were Dr. Ganiera, Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay (Branch Director of CVSC New Bataan), Dr. Raul Alvarez (Regional Director – CHED XI), Mr. Terez (CSC Federation President), Ms. Reterba, Engr. Jacob, Hon. Geraldford Balbin (Mayor – New Bataan), Hon. Larry Pagalan (Vice Mayor-New Bataan).

Montevista then followed suit as another Two-Storey, Ten-Classroom Building began its construction last February 3, 2017. VIPs who were there to witness the historic affair were Dr. Ganiera, Dr. Roque N. Langcoy II (Branch Director of CVSC Montevista Branch), Dr. Matunhay, Mr. Terez, Ms. Reterba, Engr. Jacob, Hon. Eutropio S. Jayectin (Mayor – Montevista), and Sangguniang Bayan Members of the Municipality of Montevista.

Stakeholders of the college are confident that the completion of these buildings will propel the institution towards the attainment of its vision.
